lanet Earth has many incredible characteristics. We also call it the Blue Planet because there is water over approximately 70% of it. Our planet has seven continents: North America, South America, Antarctica, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. All of them have extreme attributes:

• Asia is the largest continent. It has
  44,936,000km².

• Africa has the longest river: the Nile.

• You can find the coldest region of
  the earth in Antarctica, where the
  temperature varies from 5°C to –90°C.

• Australia is not a safe place. It has the
  most dangerous species in each of the
  animal groups.

 

• Europe has the world’s smallest country:
  Vatican City. It is 440 m² in area.

• South America has the biggest rainforest:
  the Amazon. It covers Brazil, Colombia,
  Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru.

• Greenland is the world’s largest island.
  It is in North America.
